"I have had oral thrush for 5 months brought on by steroids and antibiotics! I have taken diflucan and nystatin the entire time but will not go away! Doc suggestion trying clotrimazole! What I’m reading here is scaring me but I gotta try it! Nothing else is working!"

"I went to an urgent care after noticing that I appeared to have developed oral thrush. It was the night before Christmas Eve. My first time getting this, but I know people who have had it. It was thrush and I was given this prescription. 5 a day for 14 days sounded excessive, but oh well. After 3 full days, it appears to have completely cleared up. Now I have a lot of fatigue, but that is from the infection not the meds. My taste buds seem altered. Not sure if it is the drug or the infection. I have not had any other problems so far. I have noticed some constipation. I have IBD and IBS and never had that problem until now. I am not complaining. It is actually nice lol. I will finish the 14 days in the hopes of preventing a recurrence, but I would recommend this drug. It is a 10 mg dose."

"This is my 5th and last day to take lozenges, yet I haven't seen a significant difference on my tongue. Baking soda paste showed better results. Yogurt does not work for a lot of people due to intolerance to lactose. It just makes the situation worse with digestive problems and acid reflux. Going to ask Doctor to do lab test to see if it's a resistant strain before spending a lot of unnecessary money on more pills."

"I am taking it for Sjogren’s - and was so excited because I have become so used to Nystatin, I was just living with this disgusting symptom. Every day I take the lozenge, about an hour after, I get really weird and extreme stomach pains."

"These do not seem to be working. Instructions say to keep dissolving in the mouth for 15-30 minutes. I cannot get them to last more than 5 minutes. They are very inconvenient as you must take them five times a day and still don't seem to be helping. The after taste is super bitter and lasts until just before it is time to take the next one. I would try Nystatin instead of these lozenges."

"This medicine is useless. Does not even touch your thrush problem. Big waste of time, waste of money. There has to be something better out there."

"Seemed to work fine. 5/day for 2 weeks. No side effects, I don't think. I read that you can drink beer while on it (or I did, anyway), so that's always a plus... :)"

"Did not work particularly well. Seemed to bring the thrush down to a medium level then it just stayed there, never did go away. Nystatin seems to do much better, at least for me."

"Today is my first day taking clotrimazole and I pray to God it works. The on methadone so there are not many medications I can with it. So I originally took Nystatin which horrible and not effective. Than I took Diflucan which a good drug but I can’t take this with methadone it can cause an overdose. So know I waiting to if this is the last medication I will need to take and finally get rid of my oral thrush infection."
