Ocular adverse events

Ocular side effects have included isolated reports of diffuse particulates or haziness appearing after injection of sodium hyaluronate ophthalmic (the active ingredient contained in Healon GV) into the eye. Transient postoperative increases in intraocular pressure have been observed following the use of sodium hyaluronate in anterior segment surgery. On rare occasions, postoperative reactions including inflammation, corneal edema, and corneal decompensation have been reported.[Ref]
