Animal studies have failed to reveal evidence of embryofetal harm. Oral administration of this drug to pregnant rats and rabbits throughout organogenesis and lactation did not produce adverse maternal, fetal, or neonatal effects at clinically relevant doses. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy.
