Drug Interaction Report
3 potential interactions and/or warnings found for the following 2 drugs:
- Agamree (vamorolone)
- asparaginase escherichia coli
Interactions between your drugs
asparaginase Escherichia coli vamorolone
Applies to: asparaginase escherichia coli, Agamree (vamorolone)
Using asparaginase Escherichia coli together with vamorolone may increase your blood sugar levels. Also, this combination may increase your risks of bone-tissue death (osteonecrosis), bleeding or blood clots. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring to safely use both medications. Contact your doctor if you have symptoms of high blood sugar such as increased thirst, increased hunger, and increased urination. Also, contact your doctor if you experience bone pain or any unusual bleeding or bruising; red or black, tarry stools; coughing up or vomiting fresh or dried blood that looks like coffee grounds. Also be alert to potential signs and symptoms of blood clots such as chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden loss of vision, or pain, redness or swelling in an extremity, and seek immediate medical attention if they occur. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food/lifestyle interactions
vamorolone food/lifestyle
Applies to: Agamree (vamorolone)
Grapefruit juice may increase the blood levels and effects of vamorolone. This may increase the risk and/or severity of side effects such as swelling, weight gain, electrolyte abnormalities, high blood pressure, high blood glucose, muscle weakness, depression, mood swings, acne, thinning skin, stretch marks, easy bruising, cataracts, glaucoma, excessive growth of facial or body hair, and abnormal distribution of body fat, especially in the face, neck, back, and waist. Other side effects that may occur include decreased ability to fight infections, increased risk of developing infections, and inadequate response to stress such as infection, surgery, trauma, or a severe asthma attack. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
asparaginase Escherichia coli food/lifestyle
Applies to: asparaginase escherichia coli
Talk to your doctor before using asparaginase Escherichia coli together with ethanol (alcohol). Combining these medications may increase the risk of side effects such as liver damage. You may need more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. Let your doctor know immediately if you develop right upper quadrant pain, increasing abdominal size, fever, swelling, rash, itching, loss of appetite, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, dark urine, and/or yellowing of the skin or eyes, as these may be signs and symptoms of liver damage. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
