Drug Interaction Report
1 potential interaction and/or warning found for the following 2 drugs:
- sars-cov-2 (covid-19) mrna-lnp vaccine (cvx 309)
- smallpox vaccine
Interactions between your drugs
smallpox vaccine SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) mRNA-LNP vaccine (cvx 309)
Applies to: smallpox vaccine, sars-cov-2 (covid-19) mrna-lnp vaccine (cvx 309)
Vaccination with smallpox vaccine and SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) mRNA-LNP vaccine (cvx 309) at the same time or within a short time of each other may increase the risk of myopericarditis, or inflammation of the heart muscle and lining of the heart. These vaccines individually may be associated with a rare risk of developing myopericarditis, but the risk may be greater when they are administered together, particularly in adolescent or young adult males. If feasible, it may be advisable to wait 4 weeks in between the two vaccines, unless there is an outbreak that requires prompt vaccination. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
No alcohol/food interactions were found with the drugs in your list. However, this does not necessarily mean no food interactions exist. Always consult your healthcare provider.
Therapeutic duplication warnings
No duplication warnings were found for your selected drugs.
Therapeutic duplication warnings are only returned when drugs within the same group exceed the recommended therapeutic duplication maximum.
