Using nirogacestat together with omeprazole is generally not recommended. Omeprazole may interfere with the absorption of nirogacestat into the bloodstream, which may make the medication less effective in treating your condition. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

By reducing the acidity level in the stomach, sodium bicarbonate may interfere with the absorption of nirogacestat and reduce its effectiveness. You should avoid taking sodium bicarbonate or other antacid-containing medications for at least 2 hours before and 2 hours after taking nirogacestat. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions on how to take these or other medications you are prescribed. Do not consume grapefruit, grapefruit juice, Seville oranges, or starfruit during treatment with nirogacestat. Doing so can significantly increase the blood levels of nirogacestat and increase the risk and/or severity of side effects such as diarrhea, liver problems, new non-melanoma skin cancers, electrolyte disturbances, and in women who can become pregnant, ovarian problems.
