- mumps virus vaccine
- Octagam (immune globulin intravenous)
Interactions between your drugs
immune globulin intravenous mumps virus vaccine
Applies to: Octagam (immune globulin intravenous), mumps virus vaccine
Immune globulin intravenous may interfere with your body's immune response to mumps virus vaccine. If you have been treated with immune globulin intravenous or received a blood product, your doctor may suggest you wait a certain period of time before being vaccinated with mumps virus vaccine. If you were vaccinated with mumps virus vaccine shortly before or after immune globulin intravenous, revaccination and/or laboratory testing for vaccine immunity may be necessary. The immunizing doctor should be informed of recent therapy with immune globulin intravenous or any blood product so that appropriate measures and/or precautions can be taken. It is important to tell the doctor about all other medications being used, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to the doctor.
