Magnesium sulfate may affect the diagnostic results of fludeoxyglucose F-18. Talk to your doctor before you are scheduled for testing to find out if and for how long you should stop using magnesium sulfate so that it does not interfere with fludeoxyglucose F-18 test results. Oral medications may not be properly absorbed when they are taken within one hour before starting sodium sulfate for bowel cleansing. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist to see if you should adjust the dosing schedule of your other medications before you begin bowel cleansing treatment.
