OXcarbazepine may reduce the blood levels and effects of albendazole. Contact your doctor if your symptoms worsen or your condition changes during treatment with these medications. Food significantly increases the absorption of albendazole. You should take each dose of albendazole with a meal. Taking it on an empty stomach may lead to inadequate blood levels and reduced effectiveness of the medication. Grapefruit juice can also increase the absorption of albendazole.

Alcohol can increase the nervous system side effects of OXcarbazepine such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with OXcarbazepine. Do not use more than the recommended dose of OXcarbazepine, and avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medication affects you.
