Applies to: Ogsiveo (nirogacestat)
Do not consume grapefruit, grapefruit juice, Seville oranges, or starfruit during treatment with nirogacestat. Doing so can significantly increase the blood levels of nirogacestat and increase the risk and/or severity of side effects such as diarrhea, liver problems, new non-melanoma skin cancers, electrolyte disturbances, and in women who can become pregnant, ovarian problems. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
rimegepant food
Applies to: Nurtec ODT (rimegepant)
If you are receiving therapy with rimegepant you may want to avoid the regular consumption of large amounts of grapefruits and grapefruit juice. Grapefruit can raise the levels of rimegepant in your body and lead to increased side effects. If grapefruit or grapefruit juice is consumed along with rimegepant, the manufacturer recommends avoiding a second dose of rimegepant within 48 hours. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
