Using methotrexate together with predniSONE can increase the blood levels or add to the side effects of methotrexate Talk with your doctor before using these medications together. This can cause a decrease in blood cell counts, easy bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness, mouth sores, nausea, vomiting, black or bloody stools, and urinating less than usual or not at all. If you take both medications together, tell your doctor if you have any of these symptoms. You may need a dose adjustment or special test if you take both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
