Coadministration with strong inducers of CYP450 enzymes may moderately decrease the plasma concentrations of lacosamide. It has been estimated that the systemic exposure of lacosamide decreased by 25% during concurrent use with enzyme-inducing antiepileptic agents. The clinical significance is unknown. Caution is advised whenever a CYP450 inducer is added to or withdrawn from therapy.
