- doxorubicin
- melphalan
Interactions between your drugs
DOXOrubicin melphalan
Applies to: doxorubicin and melphalan
Limited anecdotal data suggest an increased risk of doxorubicin-induced cardiomyopathy in patients who have previously received melphalan. The mechanism of this suspected interaction is unknown. Although conclusive proof that melphalan sensitizes the myocardium is lacking, anthracyclines should be administered cautiously to patients who have had extensive melphalan therapy.
