Drug Interactions between digitoxin and Tymlos
This report displays the potential drug interactions for the following 2 drugs:
- digitoxin
- Tymlos (abaloparatide)
Interactions between your drugs
digitoxin abaloparatide
Applies to: digitoxin and Tymlos (abaloparatide)
Although an interaction between abaloparatide and digitoxin has not been reported, it is possible that using these medications together may increase the effects of digitoxin. This is because abaloparatide briefly causes calcium levels to increase in the blood, and high calcium blood levels have been associated with toxic effects of digitoxin. Contact your doctor if you experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, visual disturbances (blurred vision; light halos around objects; green or yellow vision), or an abnormally fast or slow or uneven heartbeat, as these may be signs and symptoms of excessive digitoxin effects. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
