ADJUST DOSING INTERVAL: Simultaneous administration of delavirdine and didanosine has been reported to decrease the bioavailability of both drugs by approximately 20%, compared to administration at least 1 hour apart. The mechanism of the interaction is unknown.

MANAGEMENT: If these drugs are used together they should be administered at least one hour apart.

ADJUST DOSING INTERVAL: Didanosine bioavailability is decreased when administered with food. Loss of efficacy may result.

MANAGEMENT: Didanosine should be administered in the fasting state, at least 30 minutes before or more than 2 hours after eating.
