ADJUST DOSING INTERVAL: The safety, immunogenicity, and efficacy of dengue vaccine when administered concurrently with other live viral or bacterial vaccines have not been adequately assessed. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, no safety or immunogenicity issues have been reported in early trials evaluating coadministration of dengue vaccine with yellow fever vaccine or the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine. However, clinical data evaluating the concomitant or sequential administration of dengue vaccine with other live vaccines are not available.

MANAGEMENT: The CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices generally recommends that doses of injectable, live attenuated vaccines not administered simultaneously be separated by an interval of at least 28 days. Current local immunization guidelines and prescribing information for individual vaccines should be consulted for specific recommendations.

Drug Interaction Classification

These classifications are only a guideline. The relevance of a particular drug interaction to a specific individual is difficult to determine. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting or stopping any medication.
Major Highly clinically significant. Avoid combinations; the risk of the interaction outweighs the benefit.
Moderate Moderately clinically significant. Usually avoid combinations; use it only under special circumstances.
Minor Minimally clinically significant. Minimize risk; assess risk and consider an alternative drug, take steps to circumvent the interaction risk and/or institute a monitoring plan.
Unknown No interaction information available.
