Drug Interactions between brivaracetam and modafinil
This report displays the potential drug interactions for the following 2 drugs:
- brivaracetam
- modafinil
Interactions between your drugs
modafinil brivaracetam
Applies to: modafinil and brivaracetam
Coadministration with inhibitors of CYP450 2C19 may increase the plasma concentrations of brivaracetam, which is partially metabolized by the isoenzyme. Blood level of brivaracetam is increased by 22% or 42%, respectively, in human subjects possessing genetic variations in CYP450 2C19 with one or both mutated alleles, while production of the hydroxy metabolite is decreased by 2-fold or 10-fold, respectively. The risk of a clinically relevant CYP450 2C19-mediated interaction is considered to be low according to the manufacturer.

Drug and food interactions
modafinil food
Applies to: modafinil
Administration with food may delay the absorption of modafinil (the racemate) and armodafinil (the R-enantiomer) without significantly affecting their overall bioavailability. According to the product labeling, modafinil's absorption may be delayed by approximately one hour if taken with food. Similarly, the time to reach peak plasma concentration (Tmax) of armodafinil may be delayed by approximately 2 to 4 hours in the fed state.
