You should not drink alcoholic beverages or use medicines that contain ethanol during treatment with disulfiram. This can cause flushing, nausea and vomiting, blurred vision, shortness of breath, rapid heart beat, and low blood pressure. It is important that you tell your healthcare provider about all other medications that you are using including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using your medications without first talking to your doctor.
cephradine food
Applies to: Velosef (cephradine)
Cephradine and multivitamin with minerals should not be taken orally at the same time. Products that contain zinc may interfere with the absorption of cephradine into the bloodstream and reduce its effectiveness. You should take multivitamin with minerals at least three hours after taking cephradine. Talk to a healthcare professional if you are not sure whether a product contains something that could potentially interact with your medication or if you have questions on how to take this or other medications you are prescribed.
