Medications for CMV Pneumonia

CMV pneumonia is an infection of the lungs with cytomegalovirus (CMV) that can occur in people who have a suppressed immune system. After having an infection with CMV the virus remains dormant or inactive and usually only becomes reactivated if the immune system is weakened in some way, for example, if there is an immune disorder or in patients who take immunosuppressive medicines for organ transplants.
