What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome symptoms include pain, burning, tingling or numbness of the hands and fingers. This is caused by compression of the median nerve which runs through the carpal tunnel in the wrist. Compression of the median nerve can be caused by any condition that results in swelling of the contents of the carpal tunnel.
