For Birth Control "I've been taking birth control for three years now. The Orsythia is the only birth control that has made me gain weight, I'm constantly hungry. I get moody a lot. And I've only taken this pill for three months."

For Birth Control "I've just completed my first week on Orsythia. Being that I had to start it during my period, I noticed a change in my cycle immediately. I'm usually a 3/4 day-er. I am now on my 7th day with no sign of let-up. That's a bummer. From what I've gathered from friends/family, it's just my body getting used to the hormones. But when is it going to end? No cramps, no mood swings, no headaches, and FREE! I guess, so far, so good. Just ready to be off my period!"

For Birth Control "Got on Orsythia because of PMDD. Used to be suicidal right before my period. After taking the pill I'm MUCH more balanced. Only criticism is it makes my breasts extra sore during PMS. And the first couple months I had spotting. But, overall it's great. And it's definitely done its job to prevent pregnancy!"

For Birth Control "I've been on the pills for 2 months and I have been so emotional as in depressed. I've had a little bit of acne but it's not that bad. No weight gain, in fact, I've lost 5 pounds. Very very nauseous but can't throw up. Headaches here and there. I'm not sure if I'll switch just yet.. I'll probably try it out a little longer"

For Birth Control "Only been taking Orsythia for under a month and it was perfect at first but towards the end of the first month my stomach always hurts, like it feels like it's bubbly or you could say hungry. Loss of appetite as well, eat half my food and then feel like throwing up. I hope these are the only problems I have or I will switch to a different one."

For Birth Control "Like many other reviewers, I too was switched by my pharmacy from Aviane to Orysthia. I decided to give it a try because my doctor said that they both had same ingredients and made by the same company. I never experienced any side effects from Aviane, even when first taking them. Since I've been switched to Orysthia, I've experienced all the unpleasant side effects: nausea, massive weight gain, (95 lb to 101 lb) breakouts and major mood swings. "

For Birth Control "This pill lightened my period but I began to experience sore back, sore breasts, constant hunger and always felt tired. I gained 45 pounds since I started taking the pill but my diet remained. I stopped taking the pill and instantly lost weight! I've been off the pill for a month and I've already lost 15 pounds."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 3 months and I've gained 10 pounds. I'm bloated the first two weeks of my pills. It's terrible. I always start in the middle of my row of my active pills and my period is long. Like 8 days. Not happy. I'm calling to switch. I switched from Minastrin Fe which was terrible too."

For Birth Control "I have had no problems on this medication. Was switched around to a couple different other generics for Alesse for 2 years. I have been on Orsythia, specifically, for over 6 months have seen no difference with this and the others. I have had no side effects at all. Orsythia/Alesse has helped my mood and my adult acne. It has also made a major difference with my periods. Now lighter, shorter with little to no cramping."

For Birth Control "I've been on it for about eight months now, literally no side effects that I've noticed. I'm very active and orsythia has never effected my athletic performance. In terms of period regulation, sometimes I'm up to three days late or early, incredibly light flow though that lasts for maybe four days. Previously I was dealing with ten day periods and very horrid cramping every other month. I've had unprotected sex about 70 times, with no scares, I do take the pill religiously. Over all I'd totally recommend this, no bad side effects and anxiety over getting pregnant is completely gone."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for the past 4 months. Its my first time ever being on birth control and I'm 19 years old. The positives for me about it are that I don't have cramps at all, I have a period for only 3 or 4 days and my acne cleared up really well. I still get a few little pimples every now and then but not as bad as I used to. The negative factors about this are the WEIGHT GAIN, I hate it. I went from a size 8 jeans to a size 10-12 in the past 4 months. I'm trying to find ways to control it though. I also don't have any sex drive, I'm hardly ever in the mood to do anything anymore. The last one is that I get depressed every now and then. "

For Birth Control "I've been on it for almost 2 years and it does great. I have no cramps, period starts normally on my third day of my blue pill, when I remember to take them it last about three days its super light. I'm not throwing up. My face recently started breaking out but maybe I need more water."

For Birth Control "So this is my first week on any kind of birth control. I'm experiencing a very heavy and painful period, very low mood and depression, and lots of crying and weeping. I didn't think it would affect me so quickly. I'm not sure whether to ride it out for a month or just stop or switch. I really can't afford to be this out of it, given how demanding my work is. If you've had a similar experience let me know!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Orsythia for about a year (and on various pills over the last 10 years) and it was fine at first. However in the last 4-6 months have noticed a HUGE change. Weight that I just can't seem to shed, hormonal acne on my jawline and neck, no sex drive, and really awful moodiness and depression. Everything else in my life is peachy so I knew it was my hormones due to this pill. "

For Birth Control "I was taking Lutera and doing great with it. My pharmacy made me switch because Lutera was being discontinued. I am on my third week of this medication and have not been feeling well. I have been moody and agitated and feeling as if I am in a fog. "

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for about 2 years , I've never really had a problem with this pill ...heck I have no complains really . I just notice sometimes I get break through bleeding especially if I start a new cycle after skipping a month. My skin remains clear , my mood swings are in check plus I get a lighter period. I really do believe this pill works differently for different people. Yes my breast do get tender around my period but that's normal for my body. I did gain wieght but I'm not sure it was due to the pill Bc I do eat a lot. Lol. My body only filled out more in the right places. I also have a healthy sex drive unlike when I was on the Nuevo ring."

For Birth Control "Orsythia was also given to me in place of my usual Lutera. I have never experienced side effects of any kind with Lutera, but Orsythia has caused me to have frequent headaches, moodiness, and full-blown menstruation in the second week of active pills. "

For Birth Control "I was also switched from Aviane to Orsythia. I am halfway through month two, and the fatigue, bloating and nausea are so bad I actually thought I was pregnant! I will be stopping mid-pack as I spent the entire day at work trying to not get sick all over my desk. I'm also waiting for my doc to write me a new prescription. "

For Birth Control "I am on my 4th month taking this pill. This is my first time regularly having sex without a condom and I have not gotten pregnant. My sex drive is great, but I have a lot of cramps and breast tenderness. I gained some weight at first, but I went back down when I stopped eating as much. My periods have been long, but relatively light. Considering I can overcome the side effects and I get this brand for free it works for me."

For Birth Control "I never have a problem with this birth control. I've been on Orsythia for at least 3 years. I see all of the bad reviews, which I find interesting. I've never had a problem. I don't get cramps anymore and I have a very light, short period. I've never gotten pregnant. Very effective for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 2 1/2 months now. It's been downhill since 3 days after I started taking it. I've experienced headaches more often, weight gain (10 lbs), water retention and bloating, my mood has changed radically, I snap all the time for no good reason, irrational agitation, irritability. My anxiety has spiked, I've had multiple anxiety attacks since starting this pill (I am also on an anxiety medication and have been for a year and a half and it's helped with my anxiety levels wonderfully until I started Orsythia), I'm almost at my breaking point with it. I'm going to finish out this month and switch to something else. The only positive thing I can say about Orsythia is that it has prevented pregnancy. Would not recommend."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill 2 months ago and although I haven't experienced any break through bleeding, I've gotten a lot of other negative side effects. I've broken out with acne like a teenager, my sex drive has decreased, mood swings, increased appetite and weight gain. Yesterday was my last day taking this pill."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill when my pharmacy switched it out from my regular Aviane. (Which are supposed to be exactly the same) The first week or so I was incredibly nauseous. Another thing I've noticed is how incredibly tired I've been. I wake up tired. It's really strange because this is a brand new thing since starting this pill. My sex drive has also taken a turn for the worst. Mainly due to being so tired by the time my kids go to bed I'm practically asleep myself. That was never a problem before. Now that I'm nearing my 1st period on the pill I have extreme pms symptoms. Mainly feeling weepy and actually crying about things I would not normally. The worst though is my temper. I feel like I'm about to snap frequently."

For Birth Control "Love love love this pill!!! I've been on it for about a year and it has been the best experience ever. It cleared up my acne, helps with my anxiety, and has done a wonderful job at preventing pregnancy! I've noticed a little bit of water weight with it but that's ok, I don't mind it."

For Birth Control "I switched from the shot to the pill Bc the shot increased my appetite and I felt like I was going crazy with my emotions on the shot. Since switching to this pill, my appetite is back to normal and my crazed emotions are no longer existent. Would recommend"
