For Birth Control "Apri is the first birth control I have tried and so far I'm very impressed! I have only been taking Apri for 3 weeks but I've had almost no side effects. I had some light spotting for the first 2 weeks but it has completely stopped now. My breasts have gotten slightly larger and my sex drive has increased. I randomly threw up once but I think that was because of what I ate not the pill. I've had no increase or decrease in my appetite or weight, hair seems almost thicker and I had no acne break out. So far I LOVE THIS PILL!"

For Birth Control "So, this is the only pill I've ever been on, so I don't have much to compare it too. However, after reading all the negative reviews, I felt I should chime in. I'm on my second month of this pill and I'm almost done with it. So far, it's actually helped regulate my weight which is awesome. The first month was kind of rough, I was spotty the entire pack. Once I started up the second pack, everything cleared up and I've been good since! Worst part of this pill: no sex drive. It really does dry you up. I'm hoping this clears up after the 3rd pack because my doctor told me to give it until then."

For Birth Control "I am 20 and have been on this birth control for years. I mean at least 3-4. I can say I have absolutely zero sex drive whatsoever. I didn’t even understand how girls were even interested in sex at my age, or even in the slightest. It made no sense to me. It’s really sucked. I am still on it to this day because I am prescribed accutane and you have to be on a contraceptive to be on it. I haven’t noticed my skin get any better on this but I didn’t even know people switched birth controls and have been living in sadness for years. I don’t know if the sadness is from the birth control or not but it’s also been there for years. I hate these pills with a passion. Don’t be me who feels like an 80 yr old woman with no sex drive and just feels like general garbage"

For Birth Control "This has been an awful experience for me. I’m having a polyp removed from my uterus and have to go on birth control for the surgery. I’ve been on it for 2 weeks and since the start, I’ve had extreme nausea, bad headaches, tired all the time, moody, and trouble sleeping. I just feel awful! I do NOT recommend this particular pill!!!"

For Birth Control "I was switched from Junel to Apri because of breakthrough bleeding. While that has been fixed, Apri has some pretty serious negative side effects for me. My mood is completely unstable and swings terribly and my anxiety is uncontrollable. Sex drive is basically non existent. Other than that, no weight gain, acne, lighter periods and less painful cramping (my cramps were unbearable before)"

I was on levora before this one , but in overall thats all I can say"

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I was prescribed Apri for my PCOS (polycystic overian syndrom) and have been taking it for 2 months now. Before taking it my periods were completely irregular. Never knew if they were going to be later or early if they were going to last 3 days, 7 days, 2 weeks, or a month. My cramps were horrible and could barely get out of bed. I am happy to say that Apri has helped with that. My cramps ( on a scale from 1-10 before Apri was about a 8-9) are not a 4 on the pain scale. I gave the Apri a 9 because for some reason ever since I started on Apri have been having a brown discharge during my menstrual cycles. If they continue I will contact my doctor to find out what is going on with that."

For Birth Control "I am a 22 year old and I was only on Apri for almost three months and I couldn't handle the effects it was giving me. Before Apri I was on Tri-Sprintec for like five years and I had a breakthrough bleeding so my doctor prescribed me this. No joke, just two days taking it I started getting migraines and I feel into depression and I have never gotten migraines before. Since I was in finals, I had to fight through the effects but it was not fun. Before getting my period, I would get some strong cramps that felt like someone was stabbing me in my pelvic, having hot flashes, and wanting to just sleep all day. Including to this, my discharge started to become heavy like I would have to go to the bathroom to clean myself down there because I felt it leaking; was not fun. This was my effect on this and I don't think everyone would get this, this was how my body handled it. Just take precaution and ask your doctor too if this formula is okay for you."

For Birth Control "Apri was the very first birth control pill prescribed to me. My skin cleared up to the point of being a little dry and my periods were light and regular. However, I started passing large clots during the placebo week, which were very painful. I also gained about 5-7 pounds and I could have been imagining it, but I thought my legs started feeling funny at night. I stopped taking this pill after 4 months and am now on a different brand I am very happy with."

For Birth Control "This birth control was not good. I gained weight all in my stomach and had horrible horrible bloating before my period for about 3 days. It was as if I was 4 months pregnant - none of my clothes fit and I'd feel too uncomfortable to sit in a chair. Acne was more worse than it has ever been."

For Birth Control "This birth control is not for me. It can put me in the worst mood imaginable. If I don’t take it at the same exact time everyday I cramp the next day. Makes my boobs sore 2 weeks in & made my chin break out more. This is the 2nd one I’ve been on, I got put on BC for bad cramps and so far it’s helped but I still cramp. I do feel like I have lost some weight though."

For Birth Control "I started on Apri a month ago. Was on Kariva for 6 months and then started bleeding during the 3rd week of pills that month so my doctor switched me to Apri as it has more estrogen to stop the breakthrough bleeding. It worked right away and I have had no problems or side effects switching to a higher dose pill. I am 42 and birth control pills have helped immensely with the pain I would have each month. My periods are lighter with no severe stomach pain so I’m praying Apri will keep working for me. It even helped with my headaches."

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control for a month and a half. I experienced terrible bloating. I've been thin my whole life, always very active and able to eat whatever I wanted. With this pill, I constantly felt tired and had to monitor what I ate so I didn't gain weight (I gained about 5 pounds, still working out although not as intense as before due to being tired, BUT I was eating less!) Also, this pill affected my mood a lot- it was a subtle change, but then a month and a half later I realized I never had the energy to do anything. I was sad quite often. My acne didn't improve at all, if anything it made it worse. Breast were tender. But, no decrease in sex drive and did prevent pregnancy."

For Birth Control "Apri was my first ever birth control. The first month I experienced horrible symptoms (breakthrough bleeding for 30 days straight, bloating, cravings, nose bleeds, and vaginal odor) I contemplated getting off of it altogether but after the 30days I returned back to normal and it has been great since then! Everyone's body is different so this was just MY personal experience. I was taking it in preparation to consummate my marriage and I would suggest to any other women working on a timeline to start it waaaaay in advance so as to avoid and prepare for any changes to your cycle time and bodys adjustment."

For Birth Control "I have been on Apri for about 12 years now. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have gained weight in the last year, I wasn't sure if it was caused by the birth control, so I went off of it for about 6 months. Nothing changed, it's obviously just my diet and lack of exercise. My OBGYN said that being on this pill has significantly reduced my risk of breast cancer, and I have much more regular periods and less cramping."

For Birth Control "I'm 19 and have been on this pill for 4 months now and have realized many changes. Some pros are that my acne has cleared up and excess hair slowed its growth rate but the cons outweigh the pros. I have terrible mood swings, headaches and nausea when i never had that before. My sex drive is nearly non existent. My periods are more controlled but they are very heavy and leave me very tired. I have gained 15 pounds in 4 months despite getting 2 hours of exercise almost everyday. I thought this pill would help my hormones levelled and help my depression, but has made my relapses far between but much more intense when they happen. overall, it gets the job done, but if you can, try a different pill."

For Birth Control "I started Apri about four months ago due to migraines during my period and pretty bad acne, especially leading up to my period. My pharmacist said this is what she takes and she takes it continuously so recommended I do that as well. For the first three months it worked great aside from my sex drive dropping to below zero. Not getting a period for the first time in nearly 15 years was amazing. It did help clearing my acne. However about a month ago I started spotting, had a couple mild headaches. Google said this was normal so didn't freak out. Last week I started bleeding much more heavily and having the WORST cramps I have ever had. Make me double over in pain cramps. Advil and Tylenol barely work. Came here looking to see if others have had this experience but instead found a ton of other symptoms people are experiencing as well. I'm afraid if I stop my migraines and acne will come back but I don't know if I can handle this for much longer."

For Birth Control "I have to say so far so good! I was diagnosed with endometriosis and had to find the right hormone therapy post surgery. I have had so much success in 2 months on Apri. I have been skipping the placebo pills and skipping my periods (Instructed by my MD). I have had 0 spotting. I had headaches the first week for sure but that passed! I tried a few other pills before my surgery that really upset my stomach and cycle. This pill has been a life saver!"

For Birth Control "Apri was great for the first month and a half. I take this pill religiously and have never missed or thrown up a dose. Then I had the worst period I've ever experienced in my life while I still had a week and a half of active pills left. I couldn't even drive that week. The period symptoms finally ended but the bleeding itself did not. It lightened up, but continued for three more weeks. This is ruining my sex life for the time being and I've gone through two boxes of liners. I switched to a higher dose of estrogen and will start taking it next week - and thank God."

For Birth Control "My old birth control made me very mean, but when I switched to Apri my mood has been very balanced. Not only that, the horrible acne on my back cleared up and now my back is beautiful. My periods are like clockwork and if you take birth control for mostly preventing pregnancy, take this. Me and my husband don't use condoms and I can't believe I'm not pregnant. (If you know what I mean) I trust this birth control."

For Birth Control "I’ve had a great experience with Apri. I was originally prescribed this particular birth control to regular my cycle and it works great, but on top of that, my skin has cleared up a lot and I’ve lost weight (almost 40 lbs). I’d recommend this to anyone like myself has an irregular cycle."

For Birth Control "I got switched to this Apri birth control pill after breakthrough bleeding with Sprintec. I was on this pill for about 3 months and I stopped mid pack because I couldn’t wait another week. First month I was SO hungry that hunger pains would wake me up in the middle of the night and I’d have to go eat. I also would have terrible night sweats. I had anxiety before the pill, but I’ve been on an anxiety rollercoaster the last week which started off with an hours long panic attack. My blood pressure has been very high lately too. Not sure if that’s tied in with the pill, but I’ve been eating better and exercising, so you’d think it’d go down? Everyone is different, but I would recommend keeping an eye out for issues!"

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS BIRTH CONTROL! I was previously taking Yaz and loved it, however I lost a bunch of weight (eating right and exercising) and the pill couldn’t regulate to my new body. I was having a period for 3 weeks and my doctor recommended I take this as same hormones just different dose to the Yaz. I have been on it for about a week and have had the worst side effects. My mood swings are constant. I could be fine yet crying for no reason. I had diarrhea for 6 days straight causing me to now have a hemorrhoid. I’ve always had great, clear skin and now being on this birth control, I have had crazy breakouts on my chin. I’ve gained 10 lbs in one week and feel like I’m going to vomit at any moment. I recommend staying far away from this"
