Summary of Use during Lactation

No information is available on the use of resmetirom during breastfeeding. Because it is over 99% bound to plasma proteins, the amount is milk is likely to be very low. If a mother requires resmetirom, it is not a reason to discontinue breastfeeding. Until more data become available, resmetirom should be used with caution during breastfeeding, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant. Monitor the breastfed infant for vomiting, jaundice, fever, and rash.
