Is it okay to stop cold turkey or do you need to taper off Singulair?

Why would singulair start working then stop?

I have been using Singulair for about 3 weeks.The first 2 weeks it seemed to be working really well, one of my biggest triggers is dust and pet dander. The dogs are still in the house could this be the reason it has stopped working as well? Thank You, RKM
