My 6 year old was on it & her dr. said that because of the new fda guidelines, children under 12 should not take it. She is immune to Flovent and she is having horrible side effects from Advair. The Symbicort was working wonderfully for her.

This is more a comment rather than a question. Spruce on Jan 1, 2013 stated that flovent works great as a rescue med. He either typed it wrong, or is confused. Flovent is NOT a rescue medicine. This should be made clear for those who do not understand the difference.
