My new prescription coverage for Tegretol now costs me $125.00 per month. I am siezure free with it for 25 years. My new prescription plan offers Carbamezapine for $5.00 per month. Is it as effective as the Tegretol and are there any possible side effects not found in Tegretol?

It didn't occur to me until today but the pills in the latest bottle of Levetiracetam seem different. They are oblong shaped but are thicker and more powderish. IP 179 is labeled on the pills. Am I taking the right medication? Thanks

... From what I have read on your site the recommended dosage should not exceed 60 mg and not to exceed 250 mg per day unless divided into several doses. She has been taking Depakote for several years for seizure control, but not this high of a dosage.
