As alpha said I wouldn't mix the two unless directed by your doctor.
Klonopin has a very long half life of 20-50 hours meaning it can stay in your system at decreasing amounts over a period of many days.
Everybody's different in their reactions to medications but it doesn't sound like this is a safe combination for most people.
Honestly, I wouldn’t mix the two. I was also prescribed both. Took 50mg Vistaril about two hours before a root canal, and as usual it made me a little tired. Then took HALF a .50 klonopin 30 minutes before the procedure. I could barely make it to the chair, once in the chair I was completely knocked out, and they would not let me drive home after. They had to call my wife. Apparently I couldn’t even talk I was so sedated. I also have a very fuzzy memory of it. Never again. Obviously we are all different and these medications have a different effect on each of us, but unless you want to be potentially completely knocked out for at least six hours, I would not mix these two medications. I hope this helps. Good luck to you.
