I am inquiring about Belladonna elixir, which my elderly mother has taken for many years. Over the last 6 months, I began having difficulty filling her Rx. Today, I was told that it is no longer being manufactured by QUALITEST/VINTAGE PHARMACEUTICALS. Would you know if any other pharmaceutical company has chosen to manufacture this generic form of Donatol? If so, what is the name of the company? Is there any alternative to Donatol? This brand name is much too expensive for her. I would appreciate any information, since this has been a very effective medicine for my mother 's IBS.

Thanks for your input, but I am looking for a generic for Donnatal elixir. Donnatal is too expensive. The generic that my mother had been using, Belladonna elixir, was being manufactured by QUALITEST/VINTAGE PHARMACEUTICALS; however, it has been discontinued. Is there another pharmaceutical company making Belladonna elixir?
