Bactrim DS (sulfamethoxazole/ trimethoprim) for Acne: I've been using this product for a little over a week now and already my skin is clearing up! I've dealt with acne and post-acne scarring for about 3 years now. I am 16 and I'm so glad i found something thats working! I used it along with finacea (azelaic acid) and my skin just keeps improving!

Bactrim DS (sulfamethoxazole/ trimethoprim) for Bacterial Skin Infection: I have been using this for about 6 days now and already notice a huge difference. The first few days I was very tired but it was well worth it to get rid of the skin condition that came from nowhere. I am 32 and my skin had never done this before. I am so happy that this is working and thank God that it was not an expensive medication either considering I am a widow and single mom. I would tell anyone with this problem to try this first and skip anything else. It is just an infection. Best of luck to you all.

Bactrim DS (sulfamethoxazole/ trimethoprim) for Urinary Tract Infection: Little did I know, I am horribly allergic to Sulfa. After two pills, I began experiencing horrible leg and arm cramps. They were so bad, that I was unable to stand for longer than a couple of minutes. These symptoms took about a week to fully disappear and this was from taking only 2 pills!

Bactrim DS (sulfamethoxazole/ trimethoprim) for Urinary Tract Infection: I get bladder infections a lot so I have a standing script for them but my Doctor said to only use them until symptoms were gone. It works wonderful fast no side effects. My urinary tract infections are usually gone in 3 days and better in one.

Bactrim DS (sulfamethoxazole/ trimethoprim) for Diverticulitis: I have frequent episodes of diverticulitis. My doctor prescribes a 10-day supply of Bactrim DS. Many times 10 days is not enough to completely clear up the problem so I wind up needing an additional 10 days worth of medicine.
I have not had any bad side effects from this drug. I wish someone would create a drug to prevent diverticulitis.

Bactrim DS (sulfamethoxazole/ trimethoprim) for Urinary Tract Infection: Any antibiotic used will put you at risk for a yeast infection. It depletes the normal flora in the vaginal area. Bactrim DS is a great antibiotic to get rid of many forms of infection though. Weigh your pros and cons. You can always add yogurt to your diet which assists in helping to prevent yeast infections.

Bactrim DS (sulfamethoxazole/ trimethoprim) for Urinary Tract Infection: I'm very obsessive. Somewhere around a few years ago I started obsessing and being paranoid about medications. So, as I'm sure you are all doing right now, you're looking up reviews on this medication to determine if you'll take it. Just like I did. I almost gave myself a panic attack thinking about possibly taking this medicine and then having a serious allergic reaction.
Luckily though, while speaking with my pharmacist he let me know I took this medicine last year and I remembered I was fine.
The point is, every medicine has adverse effects. Chances are, you won't have major side effects.

Terrible headaches, dizziness, blurry vision, shaky nervousness, some difficulty breathing, beginning to itch. I don't like this at all the way I feel. Just before I need to take the next dose I'm feeling my old normal self and then I take the Bactrim and boom I go downhill, again. Told my doctor I quit...it's ruining the quality of my life.

My blood pressure (and I have high blood pressure) was 100/55 and my pulse was 50, I was not feeling well at all. I called doctor next morning and he switched me to Amoxicillin. I hope it works better. Now I have a under the skin rash all over and am itching. Guess I am allergic to this one.
