For Osteoarthritis "Been on it for 3 days for pain and inflammation due to osteoarthritis. Side effects are bad and I cannot wait for it to be out of my system. Severe headache, dizziness, back pain, bloating, anxiety and insomnia."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I have been suffering from inflammation in the joints I am a 21 year old female and my rheumatologist put me on the meloxicam medication 15 mg a day which has worked out great for me before I couldn't even jump, my knees were always stiff and I've noticed I can do squats and exercise again which is great I've only been taking it for a few days and I already noticed a difference I don't have any symptoms with this medication and I think it's awesome the only reason I scored a 9 and not a 10 is bc I kno sometimes medications are too good to be true and there can be some long term affects but for right now I haven't felt this good for a long time I almost feel young again lol"

Mobic (meloxicam) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have been on Mobic (or some generic form) for 3 years now for PsA - Psoriatic Arthritis. During this time, I got quite ill and my GP sent me for a test. I had an MRI and wore a heart monitor for 24 hours. They thought I was having seizures. After 2 years of feeling dreadful only at night my GP took me off the Mobic to settle a stomach upset and I realized that I no longer had any of the neurological effects anymore. Upon mentioning this to my Specialist - he said that the neurological side effects were quite common with Mobic - yet neither of the GP's saw new of them. So just be aware, this can make you feel like you are running slow, your brain may slow down and you might fall over."

For Tendonitis "I am fighting plantar faciitis and have been in horrible pain which shoots up my leg. I know it is from walking the dog on the beach for miles at a time, though I wear good shoes. Meloxicam absolutely has taken away the pain. I am trying to figure out, however, how to soothe and heal my foot without having to depend on a medicine for more than 6 or 8 weeks. I believe Meloxicam is an excellent bridge in an acute situation. Yoga stretches also are really helping, especially the sun salutation, which stretches my calves and tendons in my feet. I believe that way I can get through the worst while protecting my stomach."

For Osteoarthritis "Was prescribed Meloxicam for knee pain following two surgeries to repair meniscus tears. It truly was a wonder drug - knee pain practically gone - mobility increased. Took it for approximately 4 months - 1 x 10 mg. tablet with breakfast. AND THEN ... three weeks ago I woke up - couldn't stand up without fainting and had a tarry black stool. Rushed to hospital. Blood transfusions ... endoscopy revealed a bleeding duodenal ulcer. I had no symptoms - no pain at all. Gastroenterologist confirmed how dangerous this drug is - side effect of internal bleeding is very real. I should have done more research before taking. This is a dangerous drug - that unfortunately worked great to relieve knee pain - but almost killed me!"

For Osteoarthritis "Refilled my prescription two weeks ago after not taking the medication for a few months. It definitely helps with arthritis and back pain but this time I've gained 6lbs instantly. Didn't change anything in my diet and increased my exercise. Stomach boating is terrible. Be cautious when taking this medicine. Will be using this sparingly and only if needed."

For Osteoarthritis "In 1976 I had a motorcycle accident & tore the cartilage in my knee. Back then, they didn't know any better & my cartilage was surgically removed. I have rubbed bone on bone for 38 years & suffer from osteoarthritis. I have taken MANY pills for pain relief & nothing has really seemed to give me relief until now. I took my first 15mg dose on Tuesday evening. The very next morning I was able to get out of bed and walk with nearly no pain. In addition, the swelling in my leg was significantly reduced. I highly recommend talking to your Dr. about prescribing this to you for osteoarthritis."

For Fibromyalgia "I'm not so sure my condition was fibromyalgia, but it probably was. I was in excruciating pain in my muscles and tendon-joints, for weeks, ibuprofen and aspirin or paracetamol did absolutely nothing. Codeine helped, but I am allergic to it. I was put on meloxicam by my doctor, and within a day the pain faded, now I take two 7.5mg tablets a day and I am absolutely pain free, not even a minor ache anywhere. Meloxicam is a wonder drug for ache's and pains, both minor and severe."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I needed a cost friendly medication for rheumatoid arthritis so my doctor started me on Meloxicam. The first week I noticed improvement with the rheumatoid arthritis. However, for the last two months of taking Meloxicam I noticed changes; Increased blood pressure, Sugar levels in the 300s, nausea, fatigue, anxiety, & shaking. It got to were I couldn't walk 10 ft without my BP instantly rise and labored breathing. I was one of the unlucky ones that has negative reactions to a medicine that took away the pain."

For Osteoarthritis "I may be young at heart, but at 48 I am being told I have the hip of a "90 year old." I have been suffering from left hip OA pain for the past 10 years. Up until 1 year ago, injections have eased the pain. Unfortunately they are no longer effective and I am told I must have a hip replacement. I have been using ibuprofen, then Aleve, then prescription Celebrex, with minimal relief. Just 5 days ago I consulted with a surgeon who stopped other NSAIDS and started me on meloxicam. I was leery but gave it a try. The following day I was amazed at the relief I received. I can now walk stairs with minor difficulty, compared to maximum difficulty before. I would have definitely recommend to anyone suffering from OA pain."

Mobic (meloxicam) for Osteoarthritis "I have experienced increasing neck pain over the last 3 years with the last year being marked by going through a bottle of 160 count Advil every month and a half. Neck pain would lead to muscle tightness which led to headaches and it was rare that I could go through a day without popping a 6-12 over the counter pain relievers/anti-inflammatory pills. I have been on Mobic for a month now and thus far no noticeable side effects - and the lid has stayed on the bottle of Advil since day 1 of the prescription."

For Osteoarthritis "I agree it's a miracle drug. In my case I've had 2 spine surgeries due to stenosis. After 6 years post op for spinal fusion I had an excruciating pain mid buttock. Pain Dr talked with my surgeon and decided mobic was the answer and it was for a year. My biggest complaint was weight gain. 20 lbs in one year of using so I stopped and pain is back and worse then before. I'll try one every other day to see if I can lose weight but I can't function without it."

Mobic (meloxicam) for Inflammatory Conditions "I am using Mobic for a rotator cuff strain and myofacial pain in my shoulder stabilizers. It works great for that. I made the mistake of using it without food and it has made me very sick. Dizziness and nausea. I also found I have to take it at night because it makes me very drowsy."

For Tendonitis "As a distance runner for over 50 years, every now and then, I get injured. The latest knee injury was after several hard long runs, both knees really hurt and couldn't run for four weeks. Went to my Dr. and he prescribed Meloxicam. Within 24 hours, the pain was gone. I will update this site with the next three days and any possible side effects."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I am so glad to see these reviews. I thought I was going nuts with some of the side effects of Mobic. I have been taking it for about a month now. I was given this med for inflammation due to severe Planters Fasciitis. It has done nothing for my pain. I have to take it at night because literally makes me feel high for some reason. I get vision issues from it and the weight gain about 10/12 pounds since I started taking it. I have always held my weight good and then suddenly gaining that's what I'm linking it to. I just haven't felt 100% since I have been on this. I don't think this is going to be for me. I know my doctor wanted to use this instead of taking Advil but way to many side effects for my liking. I have had stomach issues and urinary issues as well. I tried it and I don't recommend it especially if you are sensitive to medicine anyway. I had to stop Lyrica to for the same reason to many side effects. I was using that for Fibromyalgia."

For Osteoarthritis "My doctor prescribed Meloxicam 7.5 mg tablet to me in March 2021 when a Baker's cyst in my knee burst. I've had osteoarthritis for at least 10 years, and my knee pain has been getting worse. I am 5'9" and weigh between 152-160 lbs, not overweight. I am a competitive runner in my age group, and when I took it for the healing of the Baker's cyst, my knee pain just disappeared. After the Baker's cyst healed, I continued to take Meloxicam occasionally as needed for knee pain. It works very well and with no side effects, as others have mentioned in their reviews, none! It allowed me to continue running competitively. I am now 66 (2023) and have stopped running to prolong my ability to hike and bike without undue knee pain, but I still take Meloxicam when my knees get too painful, and it still works without any side effects. It is a very small pill, easy to swallow, easy to use, and you don't have to be concerned about food or caffeine (I like my caffeinated tea!) when you take Meloxicam. Great stuff taken in moderation."

For Tendonitis "Benefits did not outweigh side effects experienced. I am a runner with tendonitis in my left foot. My doctor prescribed meloxicam, 15 mg to reduce inflammation and manage pain. I took it for a month and I experienced side effects like dizziness, stomach problems, and inexplicable weight gain (despite the fact that I was swimming, biking, and slowly starting to run again). The small reduction in pain was not worth the side effects, so I am back to about 800 mg of ibuprofen a day."

Mobic (meloxicam) for Inflammatory Conditions "I have been taking Mobic (meloxicam) for 1 month. I had knee surgery in January 08 and could barely walk, the pain was so bad. After my Doctor started me on meloxicam I'm able to walk pretty much pain free. I tried to stop taking it and the pain returned within two day's. I love it - best thing I have taken."

For Inflammatory Conditions "Got bitten by a tick 5 years ago - finally diagnosed as Lyme in Germany. Live in Mexico in the winter, and here my doctor gives me a shot of Meloxicam about once a month, and within a few hours, I am literally pain free for weeks, and have had no side effects whatsoever, and it takes away the swelling in my joints that is extremely debilitating! Lots of energy and this shot has literally saved my life and sanity!"

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have had rheumatoid arthritis for 10 years, was in remission in my early 30s and around 32/33 began having serious pain and swelling in my hands. I also began to have severe pain in my hips and wrists last Summer, 2011 to Fall. Began taking Meloxixam in October of 2011 and once very slight flare up in my thumb in the first week and since?! Absolutely no PAIN! I'm still a bit in shock, but will not "look a gift horse in the mouth"."

Mobic (meloxicam) for Osteoarthritis "I found that mobic 15mg is the only medication that takes away my pain and it does it within an hour! Caution: I didn’t know it was an NSAID and also took another NSAID - Aleve (naproxen) with it. My entire body was bruised and I couldn’t figure out why at first. I’m lucky I made it through. I only take it as needed when the pain is unbearable."

Mobic (meloxicam) for Osteoarthritis "I've been on Mobic a week. I'm not noticing a lot of help with the pain. I am very tired all the time, even though I only take 7.5 mg once a day. Also, I'm starting to notice problems with my short term memory, not being able to think of words, etc. This is the only new med I'm taking. "

For Inflammatory Conditions "I have psoriatic arthritis and started taking 7.5 mg 1x/day for a week. It didn't help a lot. So I went up to 2x/day for a total of 15 mg daily. Within the first 24 hours of being on 15 mg/day, the inflammation and pain in my joints (hands, wrist, neck, shoulders, etc.) was significantly reduced. It's still there, but it's no longer constant. And, I'm able to do fine motor tasks that were causing a great deal of pain before--driving, writing a lot, typing, etc. I have been taking it continuously for several weeks and will continue to do so for now."
