Previfem (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: This birth control has increased acne, and appetite causing me to retain water. My breasts are also sore, and I find that I become nauseous no matter if I take it with food or not.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: This is the only birth control pill I've ever been on that has really worked for me. No side effects at all (besides mild nausea and headache for the first few days). My mood was so even. The big problem is that my insurance will not pay for it, so I am taking Tri-Sprintec, which has a slightly higher dose of estrogen.

ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate for Birth Control: I've been taking this birth control for almost 5 months and the past month has been horrible. I've been having mood swings like crazy and I'm never ever happy. I feel like I'm going into depression. I was never like this before and I feel like the pill is doing this to me. The pill has cleared up my skin and has made my period less heavy but other than that my moods have been up and down.

Review by Ladymalone (taken for 6 months to 1 year):

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: In the beginning my acne immediately cleared up- I've never had clear skin in my life! My breasts are larger and I've had a little weight gain, but I'm SO emotional, and I have little to no sex drive which has its effects on my husband and me. It's cheap, and insurance covers it- I'd keep taking it if I didn't have issues with my lack of desire for sex.

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I personally have had a horrible experience with this birth control. Of course I understand its going to affect everyone in a different way but I wanted to share my experience. Around the third month of taking Sprintec I started noticing my mood swings were out of control. If I'm not mad I usually just feel numb. I don't genuinely feel excited about anything. I have 0 sex drive and I'm only 21 years old. It made my breasts bigger and I feel like I gained a little weight which I don't mind. I'm looking to switch to something with lower estrogen!

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I will shortly finish my first pack of Sprintec and must say that this has been the best birth control I've yet to be on. NO issues with sex drive, tiredness, weight gain other than my breast. Which have become a bit larger; however, really tender but I don't mind and/or complaining. My skin did break out at first but is slowly clearing up and I didn't have much of an appetite 2 to 3 days within, that too is better. Other than the few minor changes I will continue to use Sprintec!

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I'm 27 and have been on this pill for 4 months. My skin has become terrible. I had better skin when I was 20 than I do now, especially because our wedding is 5 months away. The only positives- I've had no weight gain, no spotting in between and short periods.

TriNessa (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I've been on Trinessa for almost 3 years because my period is out of whack, it's the only thing that works. My period comes every 4th week of the month. The first week I started taking it I felt like crap. I had almost every side effect but my doctor told me to keep taking it. It helped with my migraines and cleared up my skin. The only side effects I have now are bad cramps and back aches but other than that.. LOVE IT! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Tri-Lo-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I don't have anything to complain about besides a big decrease in appetite, which is good and bad. It helps me eat healthier and eat the right portions but I almost feel like I have to force myself to eat now and I Love food. So I've ended up shedding a few pounds which I'm already tiny enough. But besides only a little spotting and my first period was shortened and minor cramping, its working out fine for me! I was on Lo estrin prior and that made me feel a little moody and emotional and brought down my sex drive as well.

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Acne: I'm 16 and this is the first birth control I've ever been on. My doctor prescribed Ortho Tri-Cyclen to help control my acne, but because of my insurance I was given Tri-Sprintec. I just started my second week and there have been NO side effects whatsoever. Which is a good/bad thing. I was extremely worried about gaining a massive amount of weight or becoming intensely moody or something but nothing's happened so far. My acne hasn't changed at all, nor has anything else. I'm sticking to it though, hopefully it'll just take some more time to kick in.

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I love it. I've been on one other pill as well as the Depo-Provera, which was horrible! Sprintec has made me hungry and gain weight and very hard to lose the weight but all in all it's a great pill. No other side effects.

TriNessa (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: Been on Trinessa for 8 years for mild acne and birth control. At first it helped with my acne significantly, but it also made me gain 15 lbs (even though I was working out like usual); I feel like the medication decreased my exercise tolerance and motivation. Now that I'm in PA school my acne has returned. Part of the weight gain was in my breasts, but also every where else. It also worsened my PMS symptoms, making me more emotional and irritable. Not fun to feel like you're always in a bitchy mood. Overall, it did its job, helped with my acne (at first), and was cheap, but the weight gain and worsening PMS symptoms were not fun. I recently switched to Implanon because I hate taking daily pills and want something more long-term.

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: So far, I am very happy with Sprintec. I have been on it for 2 months. I have much less acne than I used to. The only issues I have with this is that I used to be very energetic everyday and now I am much more calm. The other issue I have is that I am more moody. I will come home and just want to cry for no reason. My breasts have grown, that I am happy about. My periods are lighter and shorter, plus the cramps don't hurt nearly as bad as they used to. I have not noticed a decrease in my sex drive. Overall, I am very pleased with Sprintec.

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: This pill is good on preventing pregnancy. I've been on it for 4 months and was scared to try it. But I don't get sick, my periods are about 5 days, and everything is good except my acne. I used to get some breakouts on my back and shoulders and that's totally gone but my face has gotten pretty bad. I'm going to switch to a lower hormone one because my face has never been this bad before.

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I have been on Sprintec for about six years now and for the most part it has worked well. I have had no pregnancy scares, no hormonal mood swings, and very little spotting in between period weeks. However, recently, after period week, I have become extremely nauseous in the mornings. (And no I am not pregnant). Also my cramps have worsened.

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I have been on this pill for 4 months now. I am fine until about an hour to 2 after I take it then I become very irritable and paranoid for some reason. I lash out on anyone in site. I have taken other birth control pills and not had these side effects.

TriNessa (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Acne: I have been on Trinessa for six months and have decided to switch to Loestrin. I have the worst acne I've ever had, not just my face but my back and chest too. I get headaches all the time and I've gained 20 pounds. It's like my appetite for food sky rocketed. My appetite for sexual activity, however, got depleted. Which is frustrating.

TriNessa (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I've seen a lot of negative reviews so I felt I'd share a good one. Ortho Novum 777 made my hair fall out, mood swings and weight gain. Switched to Trinessa. Hair stopped falling out, lost 4 pounds in 3 weeks, no mood swings, super happy all the time, flawless skin even tho Necon gave me acne but I don't have it naturally. Sex drive is through the roof which my boyfriend loves! No nausea, headaches or any other crazy things. GREAT PILL. You don't know until you try! Also, I'm 20 years old almost 21. Ortho Novum 777 and Lo Loestrin Fe had terrible side effects. Also took Reclipsen (Ortho-cept) for about 3 yrs no problems.

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Acne: I went on Tri-Sprintec for acne and irregular periods, and it has definitely helped me regulate both. Upon being prescribed this particular BC I was terrified because of all of the negative reviews, so I figured I'd share my positive experience for someone who was in my position. The only noticeable side effect I've had is a bit of chest acne (which I never had before), but as I'm only on my third pack now I'm hoping it will eventually clear up!

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Acne: I started taking Tri-Sprintec when I was 17. I am now 24. This was originally recommended to me by my OBGYN for acne and migraines and it has made my skin great and migraines disappear. Occasional breakouts but nothing major. In the beginning I had no major emotional, weight, or period issues. My periods are still very light and last about 5 days. After a few years my weight spiraled out of control and I ended up gaining about 45 pounds (from 122 to 160!) and also dealt with depression, anxiety, low energy/lethargy, and increased appetite. Every body is different which is why it is important to monitor your symptoms over YEARS. Things can change. I am now switching to a lower dose of hormones and seeing if there is a change.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I started taking birth control pills a few years ago but after trying 5 or 6 different ones, I started taking OTC. This is the ONLY pill I have tried that does not make me bleed through half the pack, clears up my acne to an extent, does not affect my mood, and makes my cramps basically nonexistent. It is a miracle pill for me. I think because it has varying amount of hormones each week that mimic your own cycle, it works better for many women. I have not experienced any difference in my weight, I've started working out since I began taking this pill and have lost a little weight. The thing I am happiest about though is that I do not have breakthrough bleeding.

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I've been on Sprintec for 8 months now and I have few complaints. It has made my unpredictable periods predictable, they're shorter, less painful, and much lighter. I have very few complaints since it has done nothing to lower my sex drive or put me through any pain. The only thing is that I'll sometimes have to deal with minor side effects, including breast tenderness, but this is rare and never happens two months in a row. Overall the benefits outweigh the side effects and I am very happy with this pill.

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: As far as birth control, it is an extremely effective contraceptive pill! Never got any severe side effects; some nausea the first week, but that's about it. Also, my periods are about the same flow wise, but very little cramping, about 4 days long instead of 5. I used to have awful skin, and now it is clear! The only thing that happened when I went on this medication that may be displeasing to others is that I gained about 30 pounds. My varying weight before was 106-110, and now I am between 130-136lbs.

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) for Birth Control: I had no complications with this birth control other than minor nausea in the mornings. If I missed one and took it too close to another one in the same day, I would be throwing up. I probably needed a lower dosage. I did quit for other personal reasons about 2 months ago and have had anxiety. I've been fearful, scared, depressed, and feeling really weird and its not me! I feel I can't control it and really believe it to be the birth control since my hormones are unbalanced now. I've read from other woman that it gets better after a few months and I so hope that is true. I'm debating if I want to go back on it to regulate my hormones and period, because since its been some time, I don't want to get sick.
