Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I was 17 when I started on this pill because I had cysts on my ovaries. This pill is a good pill and not a bad one like a lot of the women are saying. This pill has the same side effects as all the other pills do. Yes, I gained weight at first, but now I am back to my normal size because my body regulated it. The leaflets say you may not feel well the first 1-3 packs. It's because your body has to regulate it!

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I have been taking Sprintec for a couple months now and for about a couple weeks of about 3 or four a day, I had severe cramps and had to be put on 500 mg painkillers, it has since subsided somewhat, but I now have the biggest clots that I have ever seen. I am constantly spotting, even though it is supposed to stop or regulate my period. I was placed on it by a couple of different doctors because I have been having excessive bleeding non stop. I was on another birth control pill - I forgot the name which was way better at stopping my period and getting me back on a monthly cycle. With Sprintec, my period is constant and I spot daily. My sex life is nonexistent as a result.

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): Like many readers, I too came on to this site before taking my first pill. My story is pretty simple. I've always had very irregular and painful long lasting periods. The last birth control pill I was on was Loestrin 24 and I hated it. I was also on the patch for a year and never had any issues. In fact, I liked it. But my mother started hearing the negative news behind the dose of hormones in it and so I got off of it. I stayed off of them for another year or so and started having the same issues again plus acne. Puerto rico is really humid. So after a week on Tri-Sprintec I love it. I take it at night 8.30pm and sleep like a baby. No complaints what so ever. I've lost weight too. Weird. Stay active, exercise, drink plenty of water. It's worked for me.

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I have the same problem. Have been taking it "continuously" for several months to treat heavy, irregular periods. Now, I have spotting/bleeding every day (at least 3/4 of the month). Also, like other person who posted, I have large clots.

Mononessa (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I am having nothing but problems on this birth control. I am a month and a half into using it and I have been spotting often. I spot more with sex. I just took the 9 th pill of the new pack and I am already spotting. I am moody and crying very easily. This birth control is not working for me. All this spotting is messing with my sex drive and I just never know what to expect.

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): In the beginning it worked fine, I was switched to it because Ortho Tri-cyclen was getting costly and some of the other genetics were making me constipated. . .joy. Anyways I have been on Tri-Sprintec for almost a year and it doesn't regulate my periods in fact I seem to be getting periods whenever the heck it please and they last forever. My normal cycle is 3 days and I always knew by Thursday of the sugar pills it was coming but this pill just doesn't seem to be working. On top of that I'm always nauseated, sometimes I get extremely depressed for no reason. I have panic attacks and just feel horrible at the most random times. I can't wait to switch.

Tri-Previfem (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I'm not sure what's causing the abnormal bleeding but been on period for 20 days. Stopped period one day and now bleeding again, this has never happened to me before when using any other birth control.

TriNessa (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): Has never worked properly for my daughter. She had 2 blood transfusions last year due to abnormal bleeding. After 1st transfusion, the doctor put her on Trinessa. Less than 2 months later she was in the hospital having the second transfusion. She has been on another brand (Chryselle) ever since, which has been working. Well her prescription just ran out last month. So, I called the office to get another prescription and did not notice until I had picked up the 3 month supply that it was Trinessa again. I felt uneasy but decided to let her proceed with that medication, here we are again with the bleeding issues.

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): This product is okay. I have never gotten pregnant, but experienced bleeding. I previously had Ortho-tri Cyclen. No complaints.

Tri-Lo-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I have been using Tri-Lo for about a week now. It has not helped my constant bleeding, it is only making it worse (from somewhat light to super heavy) and I have not broken out in a rash. I thought it was eczema at first but I don't get outbreaks in the winter. Tomorrow I am calling my GYN to switch to something else.

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I've been on Tri-Sprintec for about 3 weeks now. It definitely has it's pros and cons. First, I'll start by saying that I was put on this pill for abnormal uterine bleeding which came with THE WORST cramps EVER. So, doc prescribed me this and my mood swings have gone, there's no cramps, and the bleeding finally stopped after months. So, I'm assuming it's starting to regulate my cycle. BUT - I am experiencing the nausea and fatigue. I go to school FT and work FT so I seriously hope it ends, because I can't afford to miss either of those important parts of my life. Overall, it does the job as far as the bleeding and mood swings are concerned, but may not be worth the side effects I'm experiencing if they persist much longer.

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I was put on this pill to regulate my period but I was on my period when the doctor gave it to me. I have not stopped bleeding for 3 weeks straight. I started the pill a week ago and I find it gets worse the cramps the bleeding and blood clots. I'm emotionally drained and tired all the time and feel sick. I've been on a birth control to stop bleeding before and it worked within 2 to 3 days. I don't know when I'm going to stop bleeding hopefully soon. I'm getting so tired of it. I just want to feel normal again.

Mononessa (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I am having too much unpredictable bleeding on this pill. I am switching to IUD. I truly hope this works because I have had about ENOUGH!

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): It took about 3 months for my body to adapt to the pills, but after that it worked really well for me. It lightened my periods, made them 3 days shorter and they always came on time. After the first 3 months I might have had spotting once over the rest of the year.

Tri-Previfem (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): My insurance company just switched me from Ortho-tricyclen to Tri-Previfem. This is my second month on it. My period usually lasted for 3 days also. This time it's been 5 days. And in the past 2 days, I've had a lot of bleeding. I've gone through over 10 pads already today. I will stop taking it and try to go back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen. I'd been on Ortho Tri-cyclen for many years and never had any side-effect.

Mononessa (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): Before this I had been using the Depo Shot and then Yaz for a year and had constant bleeding and spotting on both. Once I started taking Mononessa my bleeding stopped in two days. It's been two weeks since starting the pack and all is still good. I have noticed a tiny increase in pimples and my breasts have become slightly bigger and tender, but not painful. I have high hopes for this pill.

Mononessa (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): This was my first time trying birth control, and this one made me feel horrible. Nausea everyday and made worse whenever I drive. Cold sweats, and it's around 10 degrees out so I start shivering which leads to more sweating. Oh, the mood swings! I feel miserable.

TriNessa (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): Originally I started to take birth control for heavy cramps and periods. Having used Ortho Tricyclen Lo for about three years as a teen, I got off and realized my mood swings stabilized, depression lifted, and my cramps, although painful, were actually LESS than on OTC Lo. For a time I was put on Trinessa, and there were absolutely NO side effects. But then my insurance switched me back to OTC Lo, I realized why I became a crazy-face again. Needless to say, I insisted on Trinessa, and the three dollar copay is WELL worth the peace of mind it gives me. Plus, my skin is flawless now.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): Started taking at age 16 for irregular periods. Used for approximately 2 1/2 years and wanted to try NuvaRing. Used it for about 4 months and switched back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen. It wasn't long before I was spotting in between periods and finally switched after several months of that.

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I was put on Tri Sprintec when I started getting my periods every two weeks, and was on it for three months. It fixed my period problem, but I had never had a problem with acne until starting this. My acne got so much worse and would clear up instantly once I started the sugar pills. I went from a D to a DD which is kind of annoying but I didn't gain much weight at least. The worst part, however, was the tenderness in my breasts, it was horrible. Painful to the touch, running or going to the gym was horribly uncomfortable. Just like the acne, during the fourth week on sugar pills the pain disappeared only to return again with a new pack.

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): Like the other users I had absolutely no sex life for two reasons : like them my heavy period came back lasting longer than before with LARGE clots and my sex drive was pretty much non existent. I was switched to apri today so we will see how that goes!

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I am on my second week of Sprintec. I started taking these because I already have the Paragard IUD and it was giving me heavy periods, cramping before, during, and after periods, and I also had very thick stringy discharge. My doctor put me on Sprintec temporarily because the extra boost of hormones should help my condition. So far, the side effects have been minor. I noticed it is starting to help with my acne, and my discharge has thinned but it also has an odor. Almost immediately after taking a pill, I get dry mouth and start to get hungry. Eating small meals or skipping meals is not an option after taking it. If I don't eat a decent sized meal to calm my hunger, I get weak with nausea. I also get somewhat jittery.

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and have heavy bleeding. I didn't notice any side effects but it didn't stop the heavy periods. Took it for almost 3 years.

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate): I used to have really heavy periods and Sprintec has really lightened my period. It has also taken away the cramps, bloating and diarrhea that my period used to cause. My back pain has gotten worse though and I have started to get cravings. All in all it is great at lightening my flow and making it to where I don't have any "surprises." It's the first pill I've tried and I don't plan on switching.
