Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I've now been using Seasonique for a year and I've been completely happy and unbelievably satisfied with this product. I have endometriosis so when my period came before I was on birth control it was dreadfully painful for the three to five days while I was on my period. I tried Yaz and it only made my periods regular, then I tried NuvaRing and that actually made my cramps worse and lasted for an entire week. After that I did tons of research and decided to try Seasonique. And for the past year I have only had maybe 2 hours worth of cramps the entire time. During the second refill I only blotted a little, but overall every symptom that follows endometriosis has disappeared! I highly recommend Seasonique. It's fantastic!

Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I have been taking this for endometriosis and have found it very effective. This isn't for the treatment of endometriosis but is for the prevention of pain that goes along with it.

Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I took Seasonique for 4 days and it gave me anxiety, heart palpitations, tremors, increased blood pressure.

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I used to have such severe cramps that I would occasionally vomit or be completely incapacitated for the first few days. I tried so many different things to help, and was skeptical about Aviane, but not anymore. It worked. While I still experience a little pain on the first day of my period, it's nothing compared to before Aviane. I am continually impressed.

Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I've been on Seasonique for a few years and I love it. Only four periods a year and they are much lighter. I do have some spotting in between periods but only four periods a year, out weighs the occasional spotting. It has really helped me with my endometriosis. I rarely experience symptoms from the endometriosis and when I do they are usually milder. I would recommend Seasonique to everyone!

LoSeasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I've been on LoSeasonique for 2 sets (6 months). I've seen no weight gain, no changes in my skin, and my hair is as thick as ever. I like it, I went off of LoEstrin because I had bad cramps that got worse when I went off it for a year, and pelvic pain (caused by cysts). SO, this birth control certainly assisted with alleviating these issues. It's helpful though to exercise regularly I think. I've had spotting but its nothing compared to my normal heavy periods. I am questioning what other benefits this pill may hold over others.

LoSeasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I started this pill in September 2010, to help treat ovarian cysts and endometriosis. The first week I had nausea and tender breasts, but it went away after that. I had a lot of spotting/bleeding on and off for 2 or 3 weeks at a time for 4 months. It was annoying but better than the awful agony I used to go through every month so I decided to keep taking it, as my doctor told me that spotting/bleeding is very common with this low of a dose of pill, and that some people needed 3 months to a year for your body to adjust. Well, finally after 6 months it was worth the wait because, no more spotting/bleeding and best I have better energy/vitality/ and quality of life having control over my horrible periods. It has changed my life!

Aviane (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I started taking BCP years ago, and Aviane more recently in the past year or so for endometriosis/severe cramps while having my period. I am now pain free, so happy!

Seasonale (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): This drug did not work for me as I am unable to take any hormones. I managed to take it for 8 weeks before stopping. I started getting a period after about week 6 and it continued on and off right up until I stopped taking the drug. When I started getting my period I still had the same symptoms (severe cramping, back pain, exhaustion, etc) that I started taking the drug for to begin with.
Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I'm on my third week of my first month of Seasonique. Cons: Heavy breasts which comes and goes but the sensitive hurting nipples is what drives me crazy. It's been a bit better in this past week. The first couple of days I had really mild nausea but that's long gone.
Pros: My complexion cleared up significantly, my acne has severely decreased. Unlike with other month to month birth controls I don't feel bloated or heavy. My appetite has increased (this is good because I need to gain weight and previously had very bad eating habits).
Seasonale (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I have been taking this for almost 2 years and I can tell you I feel like it has been a miracle drug with all the side effects of endometriosis. Although you have to take a pill each night, who cares when you have 1 period to get through over 3 months and on top of that its short and usually pain free. The excess bleeding, the long periods, unpredictable start and stop...that's all over with this birth control. I really feel like I gained at least 2 days out of every month that I had once lost to bed rest from the agony of endometriosis. I love it and wish I had heard of it sooner. I highly recommend it. Be sure to always ask how it will interact with any other drugs that may be in your system. Always consult a doctor on change in medication.
Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I have experienced daily pain of endometriosis for a number of years now. This medication has allowed me to have more energy as my energy is no longer taken by managing my pain. I do experience bloating in the third month but that's a minor side effect I can live with.
Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I am in my third month of taking this, and absolutely love it. The first two weeks I had headaches and slight nausea, so I switched taking it at night. So if you try this don't give up, it went away for me. I don't have mood swings, which I did before taking. I don't feel like I get bloated either. I've had some slight bleeding at the end of my second month, but doctor said that was normal that my body has to get used to the pill. Love the fact I don't have heavy periods anymore. I would recommend it. Looking forward to not having a period every month. My mood is stable and I feel happy. As far as acne goes, I can say it's not giving me any problems.
Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I started Seasonique 7 days ago and have experienced nausea, dizziness, anxiety and an overall sick feeling. I am now going to try Lo-Seasonique to see if that is any better.
Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): It helped in the beginning. The first 6 months were great. I started cramping more after each period though. And now I have pain every day even when I take my pill. Still worth a try, plus it's nice not to have that many periods.
Aviane (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I'm 40. I have endometriosis for last 15 years. I had an operations once. I resisted to use birth control pill after the operation; and they grew back; I had second operation; then I had shots for a year to stay in menopause; then I started to use Aviane; now I don't have terribly horrible pains anymore. I'm happy for the result; but I gained a lot of weight even though I do work out. But I prefer weight instead of pains. I think I still should thank Aviane.
Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I am about 2 1/2 months into Seasonique and have had medium bleeding for the last 11 days. Also my hands are swollen and joints in them hurt like crazy. Doctor said he is switching me as I shouldn't be bleeding this much/long and it may not be strong enough for me. 1st month went fine though and I only was late by 3 hours on ONE pill. If you are trying these out make sure to take your pills ON TIME every night!
Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I took Seasonique for only two weeks, but I quit because of the severe and immediate mood changes I experienced while on it. I have an anxiety disorder, and when I started taking Seasonique, I started feeling more irritated/anxious. After that, my mood plummeted into a depression. I felt like crying or screaming all the time. I also developed acne, breast tenderness, and extreme bloating. When I stopped the pill, I started a period even though I had a period two weeks prior. When I stopped taking Seasonique, my mood improved. I have taken the pill before and never had this reaction. I am now going to get the Mirena IUD to treat my endometriosis/adenomyosis.
LoSeasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I started taking this a month ago for endometriosis and cysts and so far I am miserable. "Back in the day" I used to have no problem with birth control but after the birth of my boys I now struggle with bad side effects (mostly mood related). I am not sure if this is because of my age (40) or if my hormones have changed (maybe both). I had the worst cramps of my life 4 days into my first pack and I bled for 14 days straight and even now continue to have cramps. I also have *very* noticeable depression--but again, I am prone to this so I think the pill just makes it worse. I also noticed today I have gained 3 pounds and I am a hardcore marathon runner--so I know it has to be from this pill.
Alesse (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): Before being diagnosed with endometriosis, my doctor put me on Alesse to help with menstrual irregularity and intense pelvic pain. After two weeks on Alesse, I had to be put on iron and progesterone because I bled until I was anemic. Be careful about taking hormones that contain estrogen, if you have endometriosis.
Lutera (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): Started Lutera six months after the pains started and the very first month my pains have gone down significantly. I'm amazed and grateful for this pill!
Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I was put on this pill to hold endometriosis at bay. 7 weeks into taking the pill I got my period. It has been 9 days so far at the regular flow of my period. On my old pills, I was lucky enough to only get a period every 2 or 3 months.
I am going to switch. At least on my old pills I know when I was getting my period.
Levlen (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I was first given this birth control when I lived in the UK (under the name of Microgynon 30) for my severe Endometriosis. I take a pill every night and do not take any inactive pills for the week you usually have your period. Since I take Levlen everynight, I have stopped my period and no longer have one. Bliss! I have no more Endo pain or any associated side effects. Even though I have been thrown into "medically controlled menopause", I have no menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness and so on. For the first two months I had break through bleeding, but now going on 2 years I have none. I have had a wonderful experience with this birth control and it has completely made my Endometriosis symptoms disappear.
Seasonique (ethinyl estradiol / levonorgestrel): I have been taking Seasonique for 2 months to stop the continual cramping from endometriosis and the heavy period. The first month and a half, I didn't have a period, but I have been bleeding for 2 weeks straight, this is my 15th day of bleeding and horrible cramping. I did have energy at first and that was nice, along with the almost non-existent cramping until I started bleeding. I had sex last night and it hurt. I have also experienced hot flashes (the doctor said that this isn't because of this birth control), and I am 36. I have had heart palpitations, weight gain, anxiety, and major mood swings at times.
