Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Fibromyalgia: Knocks me out! Which allows me to sleep, at least for a few hours until it wears off. I could not take this during times I need to remain awake, but when I want to be able to fall asleep, it is wonderful!

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm: Flexeril is a good muscle spasm medication for acute issues. For chronic pain it is basically not effective. I was hospitalized years ago with a ruptured disc and was given Flexeril 3 times a day. I was so out of it that I could hardly stay awake and it took about a week to get back to normal after I was released. However now that I have had spinal fusion at C4-5 the Flexeril is not really effective relaxing my very hard muscle spasms. I have had 3 surgeries, 2 of them failed. The second was anterior (back of the neck) and cut through the nerves and muscles in my neck. The result is chronic muscle spasms in my neck and generally my left shoulder area. I rated a 5 based on the different indications.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm: THIS DRUG HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL FOR MY PULLED MUSCLES, SINCE I AM ALLERGIC TO ASPIRIN, MOTRIN, NAPROXEN AND ALL OTHER DRUGS LIKE THAT. AT LEAST THERE IS SOMETHING I CAN TAKE, THANK YOU!

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm: Excellent. Had hip pain so bad that I could only stand for 10-15 minutes at a time. One dose along with methylprednisolone and the pain went away.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm: It really helps with the bad headaches from surgery.
Lets me relax to sleep. Sleep gives the strength I need to help heal. Only problem is once I take it I can't do anything else I get very tired.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm: I have been using Flexeril for nearly 6 years, along with Oxycontin for pain relief following back surgery. I have found it to be terrific for relieving muscle spasms towards evening helping me in getting several hours of sleep.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) : To be honest, once I woke up from falling asleep after taking Flexeril, my mother thought I was drunk. I could not walk straight for the life of me, I was slurring, my vision was blurring and I can not remember half of the day after I woke up from my nap. I went to bed five hours after that and could not remember what happened. I will say I was VERY relaxed after taking it. Mom woke me up from my nap to go work with my cow and I had to carry a 5-gallon bucket of feed and all I could do was drag it.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm: Medicine does not work at all. I have to have trigger point injections to relax my muscles at least 1 x a week - not fun. 50 injections and still have to take Flexeril 3 x a day.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Sciatica: This is my first time to use it. I take it as soon as I wake up and it does make a difference, but doesn't do a lot for the pain.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm: I went to my internal medicine doctor on June 10. Told her about my right shoulder hurting - she gave me Flexeril and naproxen together - they work for my condition: rotator cuff. I've taken Flexeril in the past for muscle spasms. The only side effect with it is dry mouth. I don't have any side effects with naproxen.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm: I had some very tight, non-spasming, muscles in my back. Acute myo-fasciatis or something like that. For some reason, my doctor prescribed Flexeril, Vicodin 5/500 and 800 mg Ibuprofen. I didn't like the idea of taking Ibuprofen with acetaminophen, so I just used the Flexeril and Vicodin. It worked very well, but I couldn't do anything but turn into a pile on the couch when taking both.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) : I messed up my back about 3 months ago and it got so bad that I could hardly walk. My doctor put me on Norco for the pain, but it didn't really help, and flexeril to help me get to sleep without hurting so bad, but instead of helping me get to sleep, it literally kept me up. There were nights that I would lay in bed from 11:30pm until 5:00am and just could not get to sleep. My back stopped me from doing a lot of things I would normally do for over two months, but the pain finally ended about 2 weeks ago.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Sciatica: I suffered horribly from sciatica. Flexeril helps loosen my leg and back. It helps with muscle spasms. I can tell before my leg is ready to lock up. I take Flexeril and in 20 minutes, it loosens up. With a combination of medicines and stretching, I am recovering.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Fibromyalgia: Non-Restorative Sleep Disorder - After months of agony, the rheumatologist tried Flexeril on a 10 mg, once a day (before bed) regimen. Within a week, I felt better. Within two weeks, the symptoms were gone. Symptoms included: extreme fatigue, pain & swelling in both knees, pain & swelling in one wrist to the extent that the wrist was becoming deformed in appearance.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm: I was taking Flexeril for muscle spasm's in my back. It would reliave the pain a little bit, but when I did my exercises and took Flexeril it helped. For severe pain I had to take Percocet. The two worked well together.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Sciatica: I agree with the previous person on this medication for sciatica. It does help you to sleep but does nothing for pain throughout the day.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Sciatica: Flexeril does not really take away my pain, but it helps me relax and sleep. If you take too much, it will cause confusion.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Migraine: I am an 18 year old female who has only been taking this for about a month. I've had migraines for about 4 years and have been prescribed every kind of beta and calcium blocker you can think of. Right now, I'm taking this along with Tiazac and it seems to be the best combination for me so far. I no longer wake up with pounding headaches, nor get limb weakness or spots. My only complaint is that it takes a few hours to start working, and then it does so full force. I would say to definitely take this before bedtime, and don't plan on doing anything until you get a good rest.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm: I have been in hospital for 3 weeks now. It started out as obstructive jaundice, which they put in a stint and started me on Vidocin. The vicodin worked great for my abdominal pain, but did nothing for the spasms I started getting in my back after being in the hospital bed for over 2 weeks. Finally, after 2 days of intensely painful and nearly uncontrolable back spasms, they put me on Flexeril. I'm finally able to move around and breath normally without triggering more spasms. Thank God for Flexeril. The pain is nearly gone. It didn't shut it out entrirely, but it made it bearable enough that I'm finally able to move, instead of having to stay perfectly still and take shallow breaths to avoid triggering another one.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Migraine: I agree that Flexeril is helpful because it helps me relax enough to sleep when I have a severe migraine. I can only take it at home at night though because it makes me tired.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Migraine: I get aura's without the headache (as well as the headache separately) which consisted of loss of speech, loss of power in my limbs etc and found that Flexeril often helps to prevent the aura's. Not sure why, and it isn't as effective any more, but to begin with as soon as I stopped taking it the symptoms would come back. After a year, I was able to stop taking it and the auras stayed away. Unfortunately, after 10 years they have come back and Flexeril doesnt seem as effective against them.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Migraine: I have Flexeril prescribed to me because I suffer from migraines. I'm 17, have been getting migraines for about 9 years and have been on flexeril for about 2 years. I only take it occasionally when I get a bad migraine and need sleep to help with the pain. Although it's not usually prescribed for headaches or migraines, it helps reduce the pain lots and helps me sleep while I have a bad migraine.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for : My doctor prescribed Flexeril after finding I had a posterior disc protrusion in my neck and degenerative disc disease in my lower back. I must say it worked great in reducing my pain and helped me sleep at night when the pain was the worst. My doctor told me Flexeril was far less addictive than similiar drugs such as Soma. I am very pleased with its results.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm: I take fexeril with Ultram and it does me wonders. I'm 27 and have a very bad back and neck. I take them in the mornings to keep the pain away while staying active. The only problem I have with fexeril is that may heart likes to race every-once-in-awhile and if I take it and don't do anything I fall asleep.

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm: I'm not sure of the dosage that I was on, however against my doctors orders I was doubling up on my dosage. It was helpful, but not nearly as helpful as other medications that I have taken. I have a job where I have to do a lot of heavy lifting, so muscle sprains are common and something that I have commonly been treated for.
