Tetanus immune globulin Pregnancy Warnings

Tetanus immune globulin (TIG) has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal studies have not been reported. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. TIG should only be given during pregnancy if clearly needed. TIG is recommended for postexposure prophylaxis during pregnancy by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
