This drug should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.

US FDA pregnancy category: Not formally assigned to a pregnancy category.

Animal studies with this combination drug have not been reported. Corticosteroids have been found to be teratogenic in rabbits when applied topically at concentrations of 0.5% and 15%. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy.

Comments:
-Topical application should result in very low levels in breast milk and present negligible risk to the infant.
-Only water-miscible creams or gels should be applied to the breast because ointments may expose the infant to high levels of mineral paraffins via licking.
-Any amount of drug should be wiped off thoroughly prior to nursing if it is being applied to the breast or nipple area.
