Abciximab Pregnancy Warnings
Abciximab has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with abciximab. It is also not known whether abciximab can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity. Abciximab should only be given during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.
Abciximab Breastfeeding Warnings
There are no data on the excretion of abciximab into human milk. The manufacturer recommends that caution be used when administering abciximab to nursing women.
