Using rifapentine together with cabotegravir is not recommended. Combining these medications may significantly reduce the blood levels of cabotegravir, which may make it less effective in treating HIV infection. Food enhances the absorption of rifapentine and may reduce the incidence of stomach upset, nausea, and/or vomiting.
