Drug Interaction Report
2 potential interactions and/or warnings found for the following 2 drugs:
- gilteritinib
- Macrilen (macimorelin)
Interactions between your drugs
macimorelin gilteritinib
Applies to: Macrilen (macimorelin), gilteritinib
Using macimorelin together with gilteritinib can increase the risk of an irregular heart rhythm that may be serious and potentially life-threatening, although it is a relatively rare side effect. You may be more susceptible if you have a heart condition called congenital long QT syndrome, other cardiac diseases, conduction abnormalities, or electrolyte disturbances (for example, magnesium or potassium loss due to severe or prolonged diarrhea or vomiting). It is generally recommended to discontinue gilteritinib for a washout period before administration of macimorelin. Talk to a healthcare professional if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
macimorelin food
Applies to: Macrilen (macimorelin)
Food may interfere with the absorption of macimorelin, which may lead to false positive test results. You should fast for at least 8 hours before taking macimorelin.
Therapeutic duplication warnings
No duplication warnings were found for your selected drugs.
Therapeutic duplication warnings are only returned when drugs within the same group exceed the recommended therapeutic duplication maximum.
