Pneumococcal 23-polyvalent vaccine may interfere with the immune response to pneumococcal 13-valent conjugate vaccine in adults aged 50 years or older if administered before pneumococcal 13-valent conjugate vaccine. The immunizing doctor should be informed of recent vaccination history to ensure appropriate measures and/or precautions can be taken. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
