Yellow fever vaccine may interfere with the response to tuberculin purified protein derivative and lead to false-negative test results. Tuberculin purified protein derivative may be given before or at the same time as yellow fever vaccine. However, a person who has been vaccinated with yellow fever vaccine may need to wait at least four weeks before getting tested with tuberculin purified protein derivative. It is important to tell the doctor about all other medications being used, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to the doctor.
