Trimeprazine, a medication that is able to suppress histamine, may interfere with your response to trichophyton skin test. If you are currently using or have recently used trimeprazine, let your doctor know before you get tested with trichophyton skin test. It is generally recommended to discontinue trimeprazine for a period of time before testing. Ask your doctor or healthcare team for more specific guidance as the timing may differ depending on which histamine suppressing medication you are currently using or recently used. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Ask your doctor before using trimeprazine together with ethanol (alcohol). This can cause uncontrollable movements, agitation, seizures, severe dizziness or fainting, coma, very deep sleep, irregular heartbeats, and high or low body temperature. Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities, these medicaions may cause dizziness or drowsiness. If you experience dizziness or drowsiness, avoid these activities. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
