Moderate

naphazoline nasal zavegepant

Applies to: naphazoline / phenylephrine / pyrilamine, zavegepant

ADJUST DOSING INTERVAL: Concomitant use with nasal decongestants may decrease the absorption and pharmacologic effects of intranasal zavegepant. However, pharmacokinetic studies evaluating the effect of concomitant nasal decongestants on intranasal zavegepant are not available.

MANAGEMENT: Concomitant use of nasal decongestants with zavegepant should be avoided. To minimize the risk of interaction, patients who require a nasal decongestant on a day when zavegepant dosing is required should administer the medications at least one hour after administering zavegepant.
