Griseofulvin may reduce the blood levels of panobinostat. In some cases, this may make the medication less effective. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. You may be advised to take griseofulvin with a fatty meal to increase its absorption into your body. This will make it easier for your body to absorb the medication. The combination of alcohol and griseofulvin may cause flushing and a fast heart rate. Use alcohol cautiously during treatment with griseofulvin.

Do not consume grapefruit, grapefruit juice, star fruit, pomegranate, or pomegranate juice during treatment with panobinostat. Doing so can increase blood levels of the medication. You may be more likely to experience side effects such as nausea; vomiting; diarrhea; loss of appetite; fatigue; swelling in the arms or legs; heart problems (e.G., chest pain, heart failure, irregular heartbeat); liver problems; and impaired bone marrow function resulting in low numbers of different types of blood cells, which can increase the risk of anemia, bleeding problems, and infections.
