Reason for the Shortage
    • Baxter had 70% dextrose 2,000 mL bags on shortage due to manufacturing delays.[1]
    • BBraun discontinued 70% dextrose in 1,000 mL glass bottles in 2016. The 70% dextrose 2,000 mL bags were on allocation due to increased demand.[2]
    • Pfizer had 70% dextrose 500 mL in 1000 mL partial fill bags on back order due to manufacturing delays.[4]
