Can you take Sars-cov-2 pres dtm (booster only) vaccine, recombinant with Thymoglobulin?
1 drug interaction and 4 additional warnings found for the following 2 drugs:
- sars-cov-2 pres dtm (booster only) vaccine, recombinant
- Thymoglobulin (anti-thymocyte globulin (rabbit))
Drug interactions
Moderate drug interactions
Moderate:
anti-thymocyte globulin (rabbit) SARS-CoV-2 preS dTM (booster only) vaccine, recombinant
Applies to: Thymoglobulin (anti-thymocyte globulin (rabbit)) and sars-cov-2 pres dtm (booster only) vaccine, recombinant
If you are currently being treated or have recently been treated with anti-thymocyte globulin (rabbit), you should let your doctor know before receiving SARS-CoV-2 preS dTM (booster only) vaccine, recombinant. Depending on the dose and length of time you have been on anti-thymocyte globulin (rabbit), you may have a reduced response to the vaccine. In some situations, your doctor may want to alter vaccination schedule. If you have recently been vaccinated with SARS-CoV-2 preS dTM (booster only) vaccine, recombinant, your doctor may choose to postpone treatment with anti-thymocyte globulin (rabbit) for a couple of weeks or more. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Food/lifestyle interactions
No alcohol/food interactions were found. However, this does not necessarily mean no interactions exist. Always consult your healthcare provider.
Disease interactions
4 potential interactions Applies to: 4 conditions, including Infection, Immunodeficiency, Bone Marrow Depression/Low Blood Counts, and Vaccination.
Bone Marrow Depression/Low Blood Counts
Major:
Thymoglobulin
The anti-thymocyte globulin (rabbit) in Thymoglobulin has a major potential interaction with Bone Marrow Depression/Low Blood Counts.
The use of anti-thymocyte globulin [rabbit] is contraindicated in patients who have active acute or chronic infections that contraindicate any additional immunosuppression. To prevent over-immunosuppression, physicians may wish to decrease the dose of the maintenance immunosuppression regimen during the period of therapy use. Low counts of platelets and white blood cells (including low counts of lymphocytes and neutrophils) have been identified and are reversible following dose adjustments. It is recommended to monitor patients carefully and administer appropriate anti-infective treatment when indicated. Also, total white blood cell and platelet counts should be monitored.
Immunodeficiency
Major:
Thymoglobulin
The anti-thymocyte globulin (rabbit) in Thymoglobulin has a major potential interaction with Immunodeficiency.
It is recommended to monitor patients carefully and administer appropriate anti-infective treatment when indicated. Also, total white blood cell and platelet counts should be monitored.
Infection
Major:
Thymoglobulin
The anti-thymocyte globulin (rabbit) in Thymoglobulin has a major potential interaction with Infection.
The use of anti-thymocyte globulin [rabbit] is contraindicated in patients who have active acute or chronic infections that contraindicate any additional immunosuppression. Vaccination
Major:
Thymoglobulin
The anti-thymocyte globulin (rabbit) in Thymoglobulin has a major potential interaction with Vaccination.
Patients recently treated with anti-thymocyte globulin [rabbit] should not receive immunizations with live viral vaccines.

Drug Interaction Classification
| Highly clinically significant. Avoid combinations; the risk of the interaction outweighs the benefit. | |
| Moderately clinically significant. Usually avoid combinations; use it only under special circumstances. | |
| Minimally clinically significant. Minimize risk; assess risk and consider an alternative drug, take steps to circumvent the interaction risk and/or institute a monitoring plan. | |
| No interaction information available. |
