Applies to: influenza virus vaccine, live and influenza virus vaccine, h1n1, live

ADJUST DOSING INTERVAL: There are no data on the concomitant intranasal administration of H1N1 and seasonal live, attenuated influenza vaccines. Theoretical concerns exist regarding the potential for competition between the virus strains and reduced immunogenicity.

MANAGEMENT: Healthcare officials recommend that these vaccine preparations not be given together. The optimal period between administration of these vaccines has not been reported. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends waiting at least four weeks between vaccinations if possible. However, an interval of 14 days is acceptable.
