MONITOR: Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors may cause false-positive cisternogram results with indium pentetate In-111. Carbonic anhydrase inhibition may reduce the rate of cerebrospinal fluid production by the choroid plexus and alter CSF kinetics.
MANAGEMENT: Clinicians should be aware of the possibility of a diagnostic interference.
