heparin landiolol

Applies to: heparin and landiolol

Consumer information for this interaction is not currently available.

MONITOR: The concomitant administration of intravenous heparin with landiolol may reduce landiolol plasma levels and blood pressure. The coadministration of intravenous heparin with landiolol in patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery resulted in a 50% decrease in landiolol plasma concentrations, an increased landiolol circulation time, and heparin-induced hypotension. However, changes in heart rate values were not observed with concomitant use.

MANAGEMENT: Coadministration of intravenous heparin and landiolol be done with caution. If coadministration is clinically necessary, increased monitoring is advised. Consultation with package labeling and relevant institutional protocols may be advisable for further guidance.

Drug and food interactions

No alcohol/food interactions were found. However, this does not necessarily mean no interactions exist. Always consult your healthcare provider.
