This report displays the potential drug interactions for the following 2 drugs:
- dinutuximab
- immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous
Interactions between your drugs
immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous dinutuximab
Applies to: immune globulin intravenous and subcutaneous and dinutuximab
GENERALLY AVOID: Concomitant use of dinutuximab beta with intravenous immunoglobulin may lead to a reduction in the dose-dependent cytotoxic effects of dinutuximab beta. The mechanism has not been elucidated; however, it may relate to the effects of antibodies in immunoglobulin on the antibody dependent cell-mediated cellular cytotoxic effects of dinutuximab beta. Clinical data are not available. The interaction may also occur with dinutuximab. Clinical data are not available for intravenous immunoglobulin or for immunoglobulins administered via the intramuscular or subcutaneous routes.
MANAGEMENT: The manufacturer of dinutuximab beta recommends that concomitant use with intravenous immunoglobulins should be avoided (UK). If concomitant use is required, close clinical and laboratory monitoring for treatment efficacy is recommended both during and after discontinuation of therapy.
